The dream starts with me going to my std 10 farewell in school (I’m 22 now irl), with my childhood crush. We sit on a table with our friends and one annoying girl comes with her friend that she wants to set up with my crush, she’s excited, assuming that he is single like always. I try explaining that he isn’t single anymore but no one listens to me and he just laughs. Then after sometime when people are shocked that we’re actually together, he takes my hand and we start walking out, it starts raining and it makes us happy but as soon as we start enjoying it, he suddenly spots a basketball and forgets that I exist and starts playing and everyone joins. Feeling neglected, I start walking away when I see some other girls playing, their ball is in the sewer and they are trying to take it out but one girl gets hurt. The ambulance is called and she is taken to the hospital. When we reach the hospital, her dog drags her unconscious body to the doctor. I have some interaction with a boy regarding safety measures in the hospital. I find myself recognising the building and almost as if it is muscle memory, I walk to some door expecting people to be playing and laughing around and chilling but it is locked, when I am trying to come back, It’s daytime already. I see my most significant situation (who I haven’t spoken to in 3 years) walking just in front of me talking on the phone. I try to avoid him, he looks at me and does the same. I walk faster and further when I realise that there are some kids with weapons following me with the intention of hurting me and I immediately shout out to him and he comes to help me. But the fight turns out to be weird, no ones hurting anyone. It’s like I am trying to but my hands have no power. He is just standing and talking, not helping. There was something more about more kids coming in but now I can’t recall
Dreams often serve as a reflection of our subconscious thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Your dream features a mix of nostalgia, longing, and confrontation, woven together with symbols that communicate deeper emotions.
School Farewell with a Crush: Starting your dream at your standard 10 farewell hints at feelings of nostalgia for your youth and simplicity. This setting emphasizes a transition, indicating that you may be evaluating your past relationships and how they shape your present. Your childhood crush symbolizes unfulfilled desires and perhaps the idealized version of love you have held onto over time.
Annoying Girl & Miscommunication: The interruption by the annoying girl and your attempts to communicate your crush's relationship status reflect feelings of being unheard or dismissed. This could symbolize a fear of rejection or a lack of control over how others perceive your reality. The laughter from your crush may suggest an air of nonchalance around your feelings, underlying the frustration of feeling unacknowledged.
Rain and Joy: The rain signifies renewal and cleansing. Walking out with your crush in the rain represents joy and connection. However, the abrupt shift when he spots the basketball and loses focus suggests a deeper fear of abandonment or neglect in your relationships. This moment can symbolize the fleeting nature of joyful experiences, especially when attention shifts elsewhere.
The Hospital Scenario: The incident with the girl in the sewer conveys themes of vulnerability and injury. The ambulance symbolizes urgent care and concern, perhaps relating to your own feelings of needing support or healing. The dog dragging her body and your rational conversations about safety evoke an odd mix of absurdity and seriousness, which may mirror your feelings surrounding a situation in your waking life where urgency is met with an unsettling lack of action.
Recognizing the Hospital as Familiar: Your familiarity with the hospital reflects your subconscious acknowledgment of past pain or experiences. Attempting to enter and find joy in a space that is now locked speaks to feelings of exclusion or loss. The transformation of the setting from night to day signifies a further awakening to your current reality and circumstances.
Encounter with the Significant Person: The appearance of the individual you haven’t communicated with in three years evokes unresolved feelings or a desire for closure. Your instinct to avoid him shows your hesitation about reopening old wounds. The act of both of you ignoring one another highlights mutual feelings of discomfort or unresolved issues.
Threatening Kids and Powerlessness: The presence of kids with weapons signifies vulnerability and fear. Your inability to take action during this confrontation speaks to feelings of being overwhelmed or powerless in real-life situations. The surreal quality of fighting without hurting anyone suggests a confrontation of emotions rather than physical threats; it could symbolize an internal struggle where you feel incapable of defending yourself or asserting your needs.
In summary, your dream encapsulates feelings of longing, nostalgia, vulnerability, and the complex dynamics of past relationships. It reflects your internal conflicts regarding acceptance, connection, and feeling neglected. This amalgamation of imagery and emotions invites you to explore these feelings further, perhaps indicating areas in your life where you seek clarity, connection, or healing. Understanding these symbols and underlying emotions may guide you in addressing your current relationships or assert your feelings more confidently.
